Today 7th of October, the deputy president Rigath Gashagua decided to break the silence and gave a speech about his impeachment process. In his speech, he says that all reasons of his impeachments are false and they are ment to tanish his name. 2/3 of kenyan mps have voted yes to his impeachment. They claim that he is incompetent and unworthy of being a public officer. In his speech, he clarifies all allegation made proving he is innocent. He also accounts for all the money said to have been stolen.

In the social media comments section, half of the people are supporting his impeachment, and the others are against. The people from his region, the central, are against his impeachment and chooses to support their leader. This is because the deputy president is their representative

The Deputy president says that all this were planned by the President to get him out of office because he was against him going against the constitution. He says this is not right to him since he was also not chased away from the office the time he was the deputy president. The deputy presidents adds that he has always supported the president for him to get this kind of treatment.
